I spent most of Saturday thoroughly cleaning the house, doing loads and loads of laundry, and then going to the grocery store to pick-up a few things for the week for dinner. With the wood stove in the house, there is always lots of duct and dirt all over everything...once the stove is closed in the spring I plan on renting a steam cleaner and washing all the carpets and upholstery!
Gabe and Tony went to the Baltimore Farmers Market and FROZE, I think the high yesterday was in the 20's! One positive thing that came out of Gabe attending the market was he got to sell his pot holders that he has been working on since Christmas and he and Sophia split the $14 made...neither one of them wanted to spend their money, they are both into saving it right now (which makes me soo happy). Gabe and Sophia both have Cd's in their names and Sophia also has savings account that we can add money too. Tony was able to "land" some cheap Disney on Ice tickets that we will use next weekend.
We watched a netflix movie last night and had Chicken, Sausage and Shrimp Gumbo for dinner (a new recipe I wanted to try) it turned out really well!
Sunday, Tony got up at 1:00 am to help my brother milk and clean out the barn, so we did not get up and moving til 8:30 am. I made us breakfast and then we headed to Home Depot for a few more items to finish our bathroom project. By 1:00 we had to head to Frederick for Gabe's soccer game and then out to a late lunch at Uno's.
We came back home and almost have the bathroom remodel complete, we have running water (but the one drain leaks a bit, so that will need redone in the next few days), we got the new cabinent built and put in place (but to make it permanant we need to move the mirror)...but you can get the general idea...
