..."a shiney new coin will be in its place"...
as Sister bear says in the Bernstein Bears book. Gabe has had a loose tooth since the very first day of school, and FINALLY yesturday at school when he was eating his mashed potatoes at lunch it came out and he had to go to the nurse. Tony and I had been a bit worried about the fact it wasn't coming out on its own, and the new tooth is well on its way to be in, and of course it is very crooked (I guess because the old tooth was in the way and it had to go a different direction). Tony actually had a call into the dentist yesturday afternoon that if it was still in Gabe's mouth he was taking him to get it pulled out. Tony said he had plenty of teeth pulled as a kid because the roots were soo long they wouldn't come out on their own. I on the other hand always found it exciting to have a loose tooth, my family would kid me that they would tie a string around it and close a door to get it out (we never did that of course, but it was ALWAYS there as an option)! Gabe was quite upset about the tooth being so loose and not coming out, he did allow me to try to get it out at home, but the tooth was just too small and I could never quite get the correct grip on it. Hopefully, the next loose one won't be so tramatic!
