Sponge Bob

In Gabriel's class this year they had 2 hermit crabs, one named Sponge Bob and the other Nemo. Last week the teacher sent home permission forms allowing the kids to have their names placed in a hat and possibly get to bring the classroom pet home permanently. Gabe was soo excited, had Tony and I sign the form as soon as he got off the bus, talked about it every day when he got home, I was really hoping that he would have his name picked so that he would not be disappointed...

Well, I knew the fate when he greeted me from the schoolbus yesturday...his name was indeed choosen and he had our newest addition to the family tucked inside his backpack!

Now all we need to do is learn all about hermit crabs so that we don't kill it!
