I guess the last time I posted I was still recovering from my stomach ulcers...things are still moving in a positive direction. I am able to eat 3 meals a day and I seem to be re-gaining back the weight I lost! I have a foolow-up appointment this coming week, so we will see what the doctor has to say...
I celebrated my BIG 3-0 on the 28th, I got a bunch of new clothes and chocolates. The kids made me cards and we have ice cream cake, yummy! It was birthday enough that I was feeling better to enjoy the day!
On May 30th (just a month from Sophia's 3rd birthday) she decided she was ready to potty train...she just started telling us she had to go...such a HUGE relief after we thought she would never want to move out of her "beloved" diapers!! I think I can safely say we are just about there and we leave next Sunday on vacation...I might have to take a few pull-ups along for nighttime but to not have to pack all those diapers is such a relief! As a reward, Tony told her she could have a brand new dolly, that she got to choose today from the toy store...WAY TO GO SOPHIA!
In other "Sophia news" she is dressing herself these days in some WACKY outfits and insists on doing things "all by herself"...we are still having at least one MAJOR tantrum a day...Tony is better at getting her to stop than I am, he says we have to "break her spirit" by letting her know who is boss, and she really listens to him, I think because her and I are so alike I get too frustrated to deal with her where he has more patience, after he gets her calmed down then her and I can talk about why she is soo upset...I guess we make a good team!
Gabriel has one week of school remaining and then he will officially be a 1st grader...I can hardly believe it! Just 2 weeks ago I was visiting his class to bring ice cream for a party and I nearly "lost it" because the kids were helping to tear down all the bulletin boards, the teacher said it is always harder on the first time moms! He has also been busy playing alot at his friend David's house. The family seems very stable and David's mom is very attentive to the boys' needs. Gabe had his first official sleep over there this past Friday night, and both Mr and Mrs Morey say what a delight Gabe is, so I am happy to hear that he was on his best behavior...they also have a pool so the boys spent a good portion of the day playing there! It is also nice that David only lives about a mile away...
Things at the creamery are still as busy as ever, we always tell people this is our "slow" time of year because our home delivery slows down with many of our customers traveling for the summer, but where one portion of the business slows, other portions get busier...like now we have 5 farmers markets that we are attending so production has not slowed down in the least bit, we are also getting ready to bottle milk for a dairy that will ship their milk from Ocean City to us, as well as bottle goat's milk! We also have a lot of new faces around the creamery with new employees in the store and office as well as in production, we are also in need of a PT driver to handle the NE and SE DC route that has over 100 stops in one day!
