I spent the day on the delivery truck working alongside my Dad. We don't get to work together too much so it was nice to get to spend some one-on-one time together! Tony has been fighting this really bad cough for almost 2 weeks and FINALLY made himself an appointment with the doctor late Monday evening...come to find out he has Bronchitus and so he decided that he would be better off staying around home and so myself and Dad would run the route in NE D.C.
Mom said that going to DC had really been worrying Dad all night, I think we all get that way when we think about driving in the BIG city but I assured him we would be OK we had the GPS and it would tell us where to go. We got the route done in about 3 hours (once we got actually into downtown) and after it was all said and done Dad commented that it wasn't a bad route at all!
Things that I did not know about my Dad was that he had never been down to the Capital in person. When we make a few of our stops we are right at the Capital Building.
