I can't say I really remember the last time I actually made a resolution but this year it feels somehow different. A few weeks back in the church bulletin a class was advertised that you could read the entire Bible in a year and it intrigued me because so many times I have thought about reading the entire book and got mid way thru Genesis and all the family histories and quit because I was not understanding what I was reading. This time I am using a new type of Bible that was supplied to me by the church that reads more like a "storybook" and you can read 3-4 chapters in less than an hour of reading each day and the way it is written is very easy to understand and retain and what is even better is the teacher sends out class notes that help with some of the harder topics. I am already more than halfway thru Genesis and I am very much aware of what I am reading and I hope I can stick with it and actually finish the Bible cover to cover this year! Wish me luck...or better yet pray for me!
