Although we moved out of our home almost 3 weeks ago, until we went thru the final closing this past Friday, I guess it did not seem real to me. We met the new buyers, they seem like nice enough people, and I think they will fit in well in the neighborhood. Alot of the original neighbors are moving out of the neighborhood which always changes the dynamics of a community, but hopefully for our close friends that are planning on staying for the long term it will remain a positive change.
Our relator is a close family friend that has been around since I was little, and to have her by my side when we signed those final documents was a huge relief for me. She genuinly cared about Tony and I and wanted to give us the best deal possible, and had no alterior motives. She wrote me a really sweet thank you card and gave me a candle, which made me cry, but I think it was more of finally realizing it was over, there was no turning back.
The new house feels more like home each and every day. Tony spent about 3 hours over here earlier today while I went into work, and while he was here he hung a bunch of pictures, and fixed my kitchen sink, so with each project completed it becomes more and more comfy! Both decks are almost completed, so most of the hard work is behind us at this point!
