The pieces we were working on today were some of the very first tree Tony cut when he got his chain saw back in the spring...they were MONSTERS!! The splitter hesitated a bit at times but in the end got it all split, we figured we probably did about a cord or more this morning!
For the first time since in what feels like months, gabe was able to play some soccer with Renee and use his new soccer ball that we got for him for Christmas. The winter league will start again on the 24th.
When we first installed the stove we intended on NOT using any propane gas, but as we have learned thus far this season, we need to use it to help maintain a temperature inside the house as we are not so good at keeping the fire going "a round the clock" and on especially cold days/nights if the fire goes out it gets really cold inside quick! I did have Thompson's Gas come out and top off the tank cause I was not sure how much we have used thus far this season (we have a 500 gallon tank), it only need 80 gallons so that was not bad at all!
We headed out to Hagerstown and made a quick stop into visit my friend Erin, before we stopped for lunch and then onto Best Buy to get a different filter for my camera. I wanted Erin to help me with some of the settings on my new camera and she showed me a few tricks while Sophia played with Hank and the "boys" chatted in the kitchen. We had a few more stops to make but I feel like I am coming dow with a sinus infection and therefore just wanted to go home, take a shower and sleep...
