A day of cleaning and organizing...

With less than a week until we "cruise" we still have lots of packing to do. The kids are pretty much done at this point, going somewhere warm does make packing a bit more challenging as we have to get the bins of summer clothes out and some things no longer fit so then we have to go thru the clothes that were too big at the end of last season to see if they will fit...etc, the kids were both given new summery clothes for Christmas so that certainly helped...then there was the task of finding the swim clothes and sandals, and thank goodness both still have things that fit, because trying to find those items in the stores around here at this point would be next to impossible!

I took 2 bags of clothes to the "Planet Earth" bins in Frederick last night and we have 3 more bags today!!

Been really into making soups lately...first it was Chicken Corn, then Vegetable Beef and now today, Split Pea with Ham...the family gets tired of eating it after one or two nights, but I can always take a few quarts of it to work to share with the girls in the office and it is a great way to stretch a few key ingredients to feed everyone for 2-3 meals! Leftovers are certainly key to making the most out of your grocery budget!

Tony got home from the farmers market and asked if we wanted to join him at the Cochran's Auction House as my Dad and brother were already there and we had plans on purchasing some sprinter vans to use for deliveries at the creamery. Dad thought they would go pretty cheap and that we could buy 2-3 trucks for say $12000. Well, each one went for that price so we only ended up with 1, so we will give it a shot to see how it works with making milk deliveries! I had never been over to the auction grounds in Boonsboro and it was quite interesting to watch all the happenings...I just wish it would not have been so cold for the kids!

Came home to a simple dinner and then more playing with the new camera...

Vinnie and Sugar are starting to "tolerate" each other a bit more. She doesn't hiss anymore and he hardly barks at her...I guess it is a start!
