March 2008 in Review...

My girlfriend Erin had her baby 5 weeks early and I made many trips to visit with her and Hank as they recovered at home. She did similar for me when I was stuck at home on 5 weeks of bedrest with Gabriel.

My cousin is FINALLY getting married in May, and I attended her surprise wedding shower, which was really lots of fun and it was the first one Sophia had ever attended, and she was soo excited that she got to get all dressed up and act like an adult.

Gabe's boyscout troop got tickets to go and see the HArlem Globetrotters in DC. I wasn't sure I really wanted to go, as I am not much into sporting events, but it was really fun and taught important family values to the boys.

Since we were already in DC, and Tony delivers down in teh general area once per week near the National Cathedral we decided to stop and see it for ourselves. What an amazing place, had we not gotten there near its closing time we would have gotten a tour with history. It reminded me of teh Notre Dame Cathedral I saw while in France.

The tulips are about to bllom in front of Grandmas house, we call her "The Daffodil Lady" as you can see her beautiful flowers from miles away, I wish I had gotten her green tumb (the only thing I am able to grow around here are weeds)

I took the kids to an Easter Egg Hunt in at the Park in Middletown.

My girlfriend had this grand idea to make Bunny footprints out of baby powder all over my living room to help make the Easter Bunny seem more real...all it did was cause both Gabe and Sophia to come running into our bedroom to say that someone made a HUGE mess in our living room and neither one of them did it. When I said "I bet the Easter bunny did that" Sophia promptly chimed in to say that a bunny would hop on 2 feet not on one....I guess I made a mess and get to clean it up...the joke was apparently on me!

At Grandma's house for Easter dinner we were surprised to find a new addition to the family with a baby lamb!

This is our brand new soapstone wood burning stove. Not sure what we are getting ourselves into but whatever it is it has to be better than paying the HORRIBLE propane bill every month...we will keep you posted!
