I did not sleep well last night, my head and throat have been bothering me, plus I had the next installment of my "One Tree Hill" addiction to watch (the new season starts next week!). As I was up and down through out the night I would check out the backdoor to see if Vincent was asleep in his bed and he never came home, so first thing this morning I asked Tony to check down at the farm and call me, because I was getting worried, Vincent LOVES his bed and heat lamp and is ALWAYS home if we are home...so where was he?? I called Tony a bit later and he said he would start checking at the "first light" but I wanted answers NOW...so I decided to get in the van and go and check around my self...as I am getting in the van to start it something sneezes in the backseat...it was Vinnie!! He got locked in my van all night, the kids were the last to get out of the car last night because my arms we full and they must have closed the door before he was able to get out...I was SOOO relieved, and so was he!
Then after all the excitement of finding him and calling Tony I realized I never started the car, and so I headed back outside to find that it would not start...we are pretty positive it is the battery, so hopefully the guys in the shop fix that today, as we don't need to get stranded at the airport!
Sophia spent the day at Nana's and made sure to take her "pretty dress" and jewelry along to play with...just as soon as we stepped foot inside Mom's house off went all the layers of clothes I made her wear so that she could put on her dress and princess shoes and jewelry! Mom kept telling her that the house was too cold for her to not be wearing any socks, but Sophia would not have any of it as it did not go with her dress!
Tony hung my back porch hooks, that we bought over a week ago. I needed a place to hang our barn clothes and boots outside so the mess would not be drug inside.
Gabe's brought home his very first project of the school year which will be due while we are away (the project is really for the parents), so we got right down to working on it as he needs to find 40 pictures out of magazines that demonstrate the beginning blends they are learning in language arts. The blends are like BR, GR, SN...etc, he then needs to neatly cut them out and display them on a poster board with writing under each one. Working with Gabe on something he doesn't want to do causes EXTREME stress as he will start whining about it and get off task, I was soo frustrated that by the time Tony got home, he took over and was able to get him to do 10 of the pictures...AHHH!
