Sometimes I think I have a bit of deja vu when I go to write these stories as the same situations seem to happen over and over to the people we hire.
First thing this morning is our newest driver shows up to work to simply hand in his cell phone and fuel card as he is quitting, the job is simply too complicated and he can't handle it, so now we have all these new customers and not enough drivers so we have to send drivers out knowing they won't finish the route in one day and so I have to send out mass emails detailing the problem and thank goodness the customers overwelmingly are supportive and understanding of our predictament!
Then my newest CS person never shows up, never calls in, and by early afternoon we get word from her friend (that works in production) that she is getting seperated from her husband of 10 months and moving back into her mother's house, but still no phone call to us, her employer...I guess when your so wrapped up in your own problems you forget about your responsibilities, I can see that she is not going to last long...
The doctor called as I am sitting at the bus stop with Gabe to inform us that the culture they sent to the lab came back positive for strep and that she is calling in meds for him and he needs to stay home for 24 hours...I was pretty upset because when I took him on Friday the rapid strep showed nothing and they sent us home with nothing he played with his friends all weekend and then I sent him to school all day on Monday... I told her I think at this point he has surely spread his germs everywhere! So I called the school to inform them of the problem and my mom kept him all day for me.
Grandma called at lunchtime to say Sophia has no energy and a slight fever, so I know she is getting it now too!
