A fun day at the office...(NOT)

My van is still stuck in the ice in the back of our house, maybe tomorrow will be a better day...actually probably not since we are now inundated with water and MUD! and that will be a whole different problem....ahhh!!

Today I spent alot of time working on collection calls, and YES I dislike this as much apparently as the person receiving my call...especially today! They all like to commonly say "we have been such "good" customers why are you calling and harassing us over this $___ bill?" Well, honestly if you would just pay on time, or give us a credit card that doesn't come back declined more times than not then I would not have to call you...and to me a "good" customer doesn't get a phone call from me asking for money, the ones that do are less than what I consider to be "good." Another one claimed to have been paying with cash yet I don't have any cash to post to her account...so then she comes back to me saying "well it certainly is not my fault if I give your driver cash and he doesn't bring it to you"...of course not I should just write off your account based on what you are telling me...NOT! Then yet another claims the reason he has not paid his account is the fact that he has bottles that need to be picked up and we did not advise him that we would be coming a day late last week (oh yeah I forgot we control the weather too, right?) and thus his garage was not unlocked. So his solution to this problem is that he is going to throw the glass bottles out into his yard so that my driver can come and get them anytime he wants...(well if his yard looks anything like mine, throwing the glass bottles onto it will yield lots of broken bottles and no refund!)

Another call I took before heading home to feed Gabriel lunch was a call from some sort of grocery store in DC wanting to know why no one had returned his call about setting up a wholesale account. First I told him the manager was not in today and that I could pretty much tell him that we prefer to not do wholesale accounts, especially those in an area where we do home delivery, he proceeds to tell me that we are lazy to not return his phone calls. I said no, not lazy, just very busy and most people would take a hint if after 3 calls and no callbacks that maybe we were not interested, he said no he calls that lazy!

So as you can see I ended my day on such a high note I thought I should just call it a day...hopefully tomorrow will be brighter!:)
