Day of many messes...

I feel like I am up to my ears in cat urine and diaherra today...may be that is because I AM! Been so far a not very fun afternoon, as Sophia has thrown-up with Grandma this morning and then has had 2 explosions this afternoon resulting in 2 ruined outfits (3 counting the one this morning covered in throw-up) so she has now been bathed and is resting watching "Little Mermaid." (Hopefully whatever this is, is short-lived and not spread to the rest of us)

The other mess I am VERY upset over, as the new cat has decided instead of using the very nice litter box we have set-up in our bathroom he has been peeing in my loveseat, I found this HUGE mess today that had already soaked thru the cushions and down into the bottom part. I am a person with a very sensitive nose and if I have to live in a house that smells of cat urine I will not be happy, so if I can't get the smell out then the couch will have to be removed! The cat has already been taken to the pound and since I am so angry at the moment I have not had a chance to feel bad about that yet!

So far, I have contacted the furniture warranty company, my homeowners insurance and have scoured the internet for ideas on how to get the smell and stains out. Currently I have made a paste of hydrogen perioxide, hot water and baking soda til it formed a paste and scrubbed it into the soiled areas and Iam supposed to let it dry and then vaccuum it off.

I think I may need a shower to get the smell off of me! YUCK!! :(
