Whew...thank goodness last week is over!! On Friday we rented a Penske truck with an automatic lift gate to haul the 4 pallets of Turkeys home to the creamery...then Tony and I unloaded and organized all the turkeys on our refrigerated refer truck and started pulling the turkeys needed to go along with us to Baltimore to the farmers market as well as all those going out on the delivery trucks on Saturday.
Saturday, Tony, myself and my mom went to Baltimore and met up with Jamie and had an absolutely FABULOUS day sales-wise, got rid of all 40 birds and most of the milk (Tony loaded extra heavy not sure how we would do), got home and unloaded and dealt with numerous calls about why were the turkeys being delivered on Saturday...even though every single customer (over 1600) was notified of our delivery schedule change...boy I just LOVE the holidays...AHHH!!!
All of us were too exhausted to cook much for dinner so we threw a frozen pizza and french fries in the oven and pretty much went straight to bed.
Today we slept in as late as we could, the kids climbed into bed with us and we all just snuggled for an extra long time...just because we could and we deserved too!!
Now, it is back to reality, as we are totally out of butter in the creamery so we will be spending the rest of the morning making and packaging butter for the routes and then we HAVE to go to the grocery store because there is nothing good to eat in the house!
Hope you have a good day!
