So much to share...

We have been pulling and invoicing the turkey orders for the past 3 days and have 2 more days to go...I am starting to feel like some sort of "Turkey Fairy", just have had enough with the TURKEYS...not even sure if I will eat any on Thursday...we still have customers calling wanting to know if they can order a turkey, or change the size of their turkey...HELLO the cut-off was on the 9th, Thanksgiving is in 3 days, it is not going to happen!!! We talked about selling Christmas Hams but I think the turkeys were enough aggravation for one holiday, we can save that fun for another year!

In other news my brother and his wife Kate will be moving in next door in the next few weeks, the foundation is being dug and the house is actually already here so once they are able to get moved in, they will then put their current house on the market to be sold. Sophia is just beside herself with excitement of having Sammy next door to play with...and now they most certainly will be riding the school bus together!

My dad and brother have been talking about expanding our milk herd to help increase the milk production we have for the creamery to process and sell. Today they went and looked at a herd of cattle and have tentatively purchased 140 more cows, so that would bring our milking head up to about 320...which is the most we have miked in a long time. Our parlour could certainly handle the extra head to be running more efficiently.

Tony just landed a pretty large wholesale account for our yogurt production and this company would need about 2,700 pounds of yogurt twice per month, and he has been talking with a cheesemaker about coming into the plant to make cheese thru the night (but until we can get some decent refrigerated storage space that may have to be put on the back burner).

We have finalized the purchase of the other home delivery company out of the Bethesda area and we will be contacting those 200 new customers starting the end of this week to let them know we will be starting their service come the first week in December.

The plant renovation is coming along and we have found a buyer for most, if not all of our old equipment, if all goes well we will be starting the upgrade come the first of the year.
