"I GOT IT"

My little Sophia is soo very different from her brother Gabriel. For about the past 4-6 weeks she insists on doing absolutely EVERYTHING herself. From putting her own syrup on her waffles, to changing her diaper (although I tell her it would just be easier if we got rid of them all together!), to dressing herself and brushing her teeth. If I try to help her in any way at all a temper tantrum ensues and both of us end up having bad days!

She has the most probelms with putting on her shirts and her socks, and why she is attempting to get dressed in the morning lots of screaming and crying comes from her room, (as she gets mad at whatever piece of clothing is not cooperating with her) so at first you would think to go and find out what is wrong and try to help...well that is a BAD idea, if you ask her if she wants help, she quickly will answer in her LOUDEST voice " I GOT IT!"

Gabe and I know that we will let her try to figure it out alone and if she truely wants/needs our help she will come and ask after she has given up herself!
