We finally have hot water...and other news

For the last two weeks or even longer, Tony and I have been noticing that the hot water we have to take a shower has gotten less and less...even when the first one of us in the shower in the morning (usually Tony) only took a five minute shower or less and then I would wait at least 30 minutes before I took one, I still ended up with barely a luke warm shower at best. Because we are on a well and for some reason the electricity keeps cutting on and off during the day we have a feeling the hot water heater was trying to work when no water was in the tank, causing an element to blow. Saturday afternoon, Tony finally had a chance to look at it and was able to FINALLy replace the element and now hot showers are no longer in short demand!

We have over 80 names on the Vienna waiting list and so it was decided that this new route would be starting on October 19th. That is pretty exciting, as the customers in that area seem to LOVE all of our products and will most likely do most of their weekly shopping thru our delivery service!

Tony and I have this month off for teaching Sunday school, so we will be able to attend church for the next five weeks and won't have to plan a lesson. We like to teach but the break is nice as well! Both Gabe and Sophia really like their Sunday school teachers and seem to be absorbing so much of what is taught each Sunday...the children's program at our church is truely a blessing!

Friday night the kids were invited to an early Halloween party at Erin's. Luckily the kids' last years costumes still fit well enough to wear one last time! Gabe and Sophia had a ball and ended up bringing home way too much candy!

Saturday Grandma took the kids to the Heritage Weekend Parade and they ended up bringing home about 4 more pounds of candy!! I only have 2 more weeks to go to the Vienna Farmers Market and then I will either be able to stay home with the kids or I will start helping Tony at the Baltimore Market until Jamie (Tony's normal helper) is back to normal from his neck injury.

Sunday, after church we met up with Jon, Michelle and the girls and went to the Oktober Festival at the Frederick Fairgrounds. It was quite a disappointment...besides the German music and the one stand of food, it was no more than a craft show. But like any other festival in this area, you end up spending near $100 for a few hours of fun, everything is soo overpriced!! At least with the festivals we throw here at the creamery it doesn't cost to get in or park, so families don't have to feel ripped off before they even get into the event!

We all went back to Jon's after the festival and Tony helped him wire some breakers in his basement, and then we ended up staying for dinner. It was a very nice time, the kids played really good together and it was nice to get to visit.
