Tonight was the first night that we took the kids to one of the local carnivals around here. They are alot of fun, and I remember going quite a bit when I was a kid, but nowadays you can easily drop $60 on dinner, two ride bracelets and some games...and that is alot for a few hours of fun in my book! However, the kids did have a great time and we saw so many friends and family there that it felt almost like a reunion of sorts. Both sets of my grandparents were there along with cousins, aunts and uncles, and friends from HS. It is amazing how a small hometown carnival can draw such a crowd!
The kids of course got spoiled rotten, because both great grandparents kept giving them money to play games and they ended up winning 2 stuffed toys and 2 goldfish...OH JOY!
One thing we have definitely learned from years past is that you have to get the ride bracelet it is by far the BEST deal, and I also didn't have to cook dinner tonight...so I guess it was a win, win situation after all!
