Trip to D.C.

One of my news years resolutions is to take more family one-day trips. We only have one day off per week, and every other month we teach Sunday School, so it can be had at times to plan fun things to do on Sunday afternoons, but I was just tired of hanging out at the local mall, or coming home to do stuff around the house...so one Sunday a month I want to take the kids somewhere fun and educational at the same time.

So on Sunday we went to D.C. with Tony's brother Jon and his family. We decided to drive into D.C. instead of taking the metro which was fine, until we got down there and couldn't find parking. Once we did we went to the Air and Space Museum and the Natural History Museum...all and all for me it was the same as I remembered it as a child, boring and over-crowded, but the four kids had a good time, and according to Michelle both her girls were exhausted, so I think for the kids it was a positive experience!

Next month I think we are looking into Port Discovery in Baltimore...does anyone else have any fun day trip ideas?
