Another busy day almost coming to a close...after yet another restless night I decided to get up once Tony was finished in the bathroom this morning, I took a nice HOT shower (Tony told me he took a shorter shower so that I could have more hot water...wasn't that sweet?), found my wonderful coffee waiting for me and then settled in to watch the morning news before Sophia woke up. Gabe must have been quite tired as he did not stir until well after 8:00 am this morning. Got both kids ready and fed breakfast before heading out to Grandma's house.
I then ran a few errands in town before coming into the office. I felt like a got a bunch accomplished today, so I surprised Tony with a private lunch at home before heading out to pick-up the kids for the afternoon.
I stopped in Burkittsville first to get Samuel, he was taking a nap at the time, so I stayed and visited with Grandma and Pappy for awhile until he woke up, then I headed to Grandma Beachley's to pick up my two. The kids were entertained by a children's CD that I keep in the car, all three of them were dancing in their seats all the way home!
Grandma informed me that she started teaching Sophia today, and that Gabe and her got some reading done while she napped. So I guess Sophia is officially started in "Grandma's at home school program" at just 15 months! Grandma B. can be thanked for all of the grandkids and great grandkids' early education, because she is an elementary teacher at heart and loves to inspire learning!
I pretty much finished organizing the office while the kids played together this afternoon before we headed out to the farm to play. I fixed a quick dinner of sloopy joes and french fries for dinner, and I am hoping that Tony and I can finish watching some movies on the couch before heading off to bed!
