A trip down memory lane...

While at my mom and dad's today for lunch, mom told me to go up and go thru my brother's closet for flannels for Tony. When my brother moved out of the house (nearly 3 years ago) he left so much cool stuff, that my mom now claims is hers because if he truely wanted it, then he would have moved it with him back then. So, upon finding some brand new clothes for Tony, I also discovered lots and lots of toys and games from my childhood stuffed away in the back of his closet (and covered with dust!)

I just sat on the floor in awe of everything she kept from us, and the boxes were still intact, and most items still had all the pieces, it was amazing! I was playing with stuff from 25 years ago, and it was really cool, better than the toys they have for kids today!

My mom finally came upstairs looking for me and was wondering what I was doing, and then we went thru the boxes together, and I got to bring some things home for my kids to play with!

As a child I always made jokes about how my parents were such "pack rats" but now that I can relive my childhood thru the games and books she kept, she might have been on the right track all along, adn maybe I should make a note to myself to do the same thing for my kids...
