Happy 4th of July!

We are not ones for celebrating holidays. In fact we all worked a full day at the creamery (so did most of our employees), before heading down to Knoxville to our cousins house to eat 2 bushels of blue crabs, go swimming, and then shot off some fireworks. It was basically all of the family and our closest employees and their families that joined us, so about 25 people or so.

My brother and Kate had just came home from a mini-vacation to South Carolina and had caught the crabs themselves and Jim steamed them for us and boy they were YUMMY! We also had BBQ chicken, brats, hamburgers, and all kinds of different sides to choose from...so much food!

Gabe played with his close friend Aaron in the pool, until Tony started shooting off fireworks, then the boys had to go and watch those. Most of the adults played "Marco Polo" or "Shark and Minnows" in the pool and it was nice to see everyone relaxing and enjoying the nice evening together!

On the way home in the van, we watched fireworks goign off all over the county...Gabe and I played a game to see who could notice them first as the colors exploded in the sky.

This will definitely be a 4th of July to remember!
