The weather was not cooperating...

as we were trying to get a head start on our moving for next weekend. We were all excited; had a nice big first load packed on the truck by 10:00 am and were headed down to the farm to eventually unload it and possibly head back for another one. The weather was soo wacky that we were lucky to get the first load unloaded at all!

Tony first needed to work on putting in the driveway and laying rock so that we could get the big ice cream truck up to the back of the house, (of course it poured rain yesterday and everything is a mudhole!) well in the midst of doing the driveway something went wrong with the skidloader tire...Tony's comment when he came in for lunch was, "If I don't have bad luck, then I would have no luck at all." (poor guy!)

Then it would rain and sleet, and the wind would howl (as if we were getting a blizzard or something)! We have no heat in the house so I tried unpacking some boxes, but Sophia was in need of a nap and refused to take one in her new room, Gabe wanted to be outside with Tony but it was getting too cold for him out there. Tony still needed to finish running the electric and cable into the conduits under the house, which never got completed because of all the time wasted with the skid loader. I still needed to work up in the office...finishing the work for the office assistant that decided to not show up on Friday (can you tell I am still REALLY BITTER?)...like I needed to have to do her job when we are trying to move! With mom's help we managed to do 7 deposits to go to the bank, while Sophia played tractors on the floor (she even knows how to make the tractor sounds...too cute!)

When we finally got everyone home and all the muddy clothes into the wash, and everyone fed and in bed we attempted to finish watching our movie "Meet the Fockers" (very good by the way!) Sophia was not feeling good and would not go to sleep, she was screaming out in pain, and I realized that I didn't think she had a BM in like 24 hours so Tony had to run out to the store for suppositories, and then we both held her for 45 minutes until she finally calmed down enough to go to sleep. (wouldn't you know the day we pack and move the rocking chairs, would be the night she needs us to stay up and rock her?)

I am trying to maintain a positive attitude, but it is getting really hard to keep it all together, I think Tony was right in saying that what is so hard right now is that we are half in the new house and still half in this one, and it won't be until this coming weekend that we will finally be all moved...just a FEW MORE DAYS! Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers, thanks!
