Sunday was a very BIG day for all of us, as Tony had some major goals he wanted to accomplish at the house site, and we had an Open House here at our current home so we had to make sure everything was in perfect order! The realtor never called us afterward...so I guess no one was really interested, :(
Tony wanted to get the 20 year old trailer moved and burn all the trash and other bulky items from around the house site, and it took all afternoon, thru a nasty rain and hail storm, BUT with the help of some of the guys at the farm and my dad the trailer made it acrossed the field to it's final resting place, and they got the BIG fire going to burn all the mess away! I have to say there were some moments to remember (afterall those trailers have been sitting in those spots for 20 years) and when Tony went to left it up with the front of the skid loader and then crawl underneath and the trailer slipped from the tractor my heart was about to stop! Luckily, no one got hurt but there were some very scary moments!
Surprisingly the kids played very nicely inside the car for hours, as it was too cold for them to play outside, I finally took Sophia over to Mom's for a nap and then ended up making dinner for everyone (Beef Slippery Pot Pie) that certainly hit the spot!
Our new exchange student, Beck starts to work today with Tony in the creamery. We found out at dinner last night that he has some experience in a plant, making ice cream, cheese and butter. Beck will be with us for 6 months on an agricultural exchange, so he comes to the US to gain knowledge that he can take back home. He wants to learn more about how we market ourselves. He again just LOVED Sophia and had to hold her, although today she wasn't as sure about him!
Well I had better head back to bed for a few more hours...today as always is my laundry day!
