Happy Friday!

I had to work today because I have the day off tomorrow so that Gabe and Sophia can go to our neighborhoods Easter Egg Hunt.

I set my alarm for 6:3- this morning thinking that would give me plenty of time to get up, get dressed and get the house somewhat picked-up/cleaned-up before the rest of the house awoke...BOY was I wrong...I think that the kids know when I wake up and they wake up seconds after me and screw-up my plans...it happens almost EVERY time! So Sophia was screaming and I was afraid she would wake Gabe so her and I went downstairs and I made us waffles and chipped beef gravy (yummy!), she really ate all of hers ( I don't think I have found anything yet that she doesn't like!)

I managed to half way pickup the kitchen and living area before I heard Gabe moving around upstairs (so much for my perectly calm morning, huh?)

So we finally all get ready and I get them in the car, the house is still in somewhat of dis array, but at this point we are late enough as it is and besides I figured on the days the house was in perfect order no one liked it, SO maybe to be a little messy would fit the bill today!

I must have found every slow poke from here to Burkittsville, and hit every red light too...(I guess I should have drank more of my coffee?)

I finally get the kids dropped off at Grandma and Pappy's house and head to Frederick to get the burn permit we need to continue clearing the house site, I get back to the creamery around 10:00 am and start to work on my bookwork and call backs, Tony gets back to the farm around 1:00 from his route in West Virginia today, and we work a little bit on updating the creamery's website ( www.southmountaincreamery.com ) before I head back to get the kids.

Once I get to Burkittsville, I visit with Grandma and Pappy for awhile and Gabe and Pappy head out to the garden to ride the tractor, Grandma fusses because she says that Pappy is getting to old to tend the garden again this year, but I can't imagine him not having a garden to tend to, that is just his nature, what would he do all day if he did not have the garden to work in?

The kids and I head back to the creamery, just as Tony and my mom arrive with our new exchange student arriving today from Uzbeckistan (a small country near Russia), he immediately takes to Sophia and holds her for the next hour as we show him around the farm. It was quite endearing to see him take to her and her to him in such a short time. I am sure he is missing his family and home and maybe she reminded him of someone from there. He will start working in the creamery on Monday. I always love getting to meet new people from different countries, this will be the 4th exchange student we have had at our farm.

Well it is getting late, so I will close for now...good night!
