Remember as a child how exciting the holidays could be...couldn't wait for the Easter bunny, or your birthday...etc, and now how all these things don't seem all that fun and exciting now that you are all grown up? You focus on the BIG MESS you get to clean-up after the fun of dying the eggs is over, it really wasn't all that bad, Tony helped me load up the dishwasher!
We had planned all day that we were going to dye easter eggs last night, we had gone to the store and Gabe picked out just the right eggs, I cooked them (only one cracked!), Tony made it home from work early and we had 9 colors to dip the eggs in...but the entire process lasted maybe 10 minutes!! How come as a child you remember these elaborate sessions of dying eggs, making cookies...etc, but in reality it is only mear minutes...at least I capured it all on my camera!
Gabe told me before we even got started last night, that he was big enough this year to dip the eggs himself, and he certainly was...should I be happy or sad that he is big enough to dip his own eggs? Sophia sat and squealed with delight of all the colors...next year she will want to be big enough to dip her own eggs too! (should I cry about that now, or wait???)
