I am really hoping to be able to get back into a more regular schedule of updating my blog, but for this past week we will have to rely on memory for this one...
Sunday: This was our last week in teaching the middle scholars for another month, we are teaching out of the gospel of John and I think I am learning as much as the students are, although Tony enjoys teaching; with soo much on his plate right now at the creamery it will be a welcome break!
Monday/Tuesday: These were HUGE day in the creamery, as the HTST was installed over the weekend we were almost out of milk and had a big inspection in the morning before we could start running with the new equipment. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned the inspection was not completed because a part on the HTST broke and had to be found before things could progress. The inspection was FINALLY completed at 10:00 at night (Tony has been up since 2:00 am), he comes home goes to bed until 1:30 am and gets up to process for the delivery trucks which will be arriving at 5:00 am. He gets all the employees organized, waits for Gabe to get home from school and then gets to go home to go to bed for a few hours! For those of you who know Tony...normally he is very friendly and outgoing, NOT Monday and Tuesday, he was a BEAR and a pretty mean one at that!
Wednesday: A pretty normal day, took Sophia to Grandma's, Gabe goes to school for only one hour, whose "bird-brained" idea is it to send children to school for an hour to then just turn around and bring them home again...some kind of teacher work day, and since he is 1/2 day they send the morning for and hour and then send the afternoon for an hour, seems like a waste of fuel to me! Before heading off to school, Gabe picked me Daffodils from Grandma's flower garden and he even picked extras for his teacher and bus driver! Cable 10 was out to do a story on the creamery that will be airing April 6th called "On Location", it took the majority of the day to record so I did not get much done around the office. We went to bible class in the evening and had dinner out.
Thursday: Took Sophia with me because Grandma thinks that she burst her eardrum and is in too much pain, Mom ended up taking Sophia with her to run errands. Ended up working out of the store my store clerk had to miss work again today because her tooth hurts, hopefully she will be back in the morning (wishful thinking).
Friday: Took Sophia to Burkittsville, Grandma Beachley did indeed burst her eardrum and is still in pain, figured she did not need to watch Sophia until she is feeling better. While down at Grandma and Pappy's I got to visit for a short time when dropping off and picking up. Pappy is getting around better, but still not well enough to plant his garden so he told me he is just going to either throw the seeds in the rows or shot them out of a gun...too funny coming from the man who has always had the "perfect" garden with not a weed in site and very straight rows! My store clerk says she can't come back to work until Monday...since when does getting a tooth pulled cause you to miss more than a few hours of work, ridiculous!! It would be one thing if this was a first time occurrence for her, but she misses at least one day a week...every week!!
Saturday: Cleaned the house and then went over to clean the office at the creamery. Have a new girl starting in the store today so wanted to be there to greet her and get her started correctly. The kids went with Mom to hang-out so I could get some work done (since I was in the store so much this week). Took the kids to Toys-r-us for a scavenger hunt and then Gabe had a birthday party to attend in Myersville. Found Tony's Ipod in the bottom of the washing machine...praying it will dry out and be OK (mental note, have to do better job in checking all his pockets)...
