"Pecks Bad Boy" and her cousin Sam

I am not sure exactly the story behind this nickname given to our Sophia, but my Grandmother commonly calls her this name when I come to pick her up from their home on Tuesdays and Thurday afternoons...

Yes I am referring to my 2 most favorite 2 year olds at the present time, (Sophia and Samuel)and today is Monday and Monday is the day that I am privilidged enough to keep them both for over 6 hours!! And today it felt like eternity until Kate came to pick-up Sam!

As always no one ate their lunch, (actually that is not true Gabe ate all of his lunch and even got dessert today!) it was just all over the table, floor and little hands which eventually ended up on my furniture and carpeting! Some days I don't even know why I try to bother having any type of organized mealtime at our house!

Then there was the episode where Gabe was trying to get something away from Samuel and Sam just bit Gabe's arm and wouldn't let go!! I got Gabe settled down with a bag of ice, Sam was put on a time-out chair, and when asked why he was there promptly told me that "Phia was a bad boy and should be on time out."

We got that fiasco over with and the next thing I know is that I am missing 2 little bodies and things are awfully quiet, I find them in my bathroom, dumping all the soap, shampoo, bubble bath they can find into the big garden tub, I tried to start cleaning that mess up but decided to quit until a later time because of all the bubbles!

Later in the afternoon, (but still HOURS from the time Kate would be here to pick up Sam), I found my 2 favorite children in Sophia's room trying to change each other's diapers, they had not actually gotten their respective diapers off, but the wipes were out and all over the room and so was the diaper cream and baby powder!

I shared with Kate about how wonderful my afternoon had been and she shared with me some of the events of the morning...like the fact that Sam and Sophia got into Jasper's dog food and treats and had them all over the house and were eating them and then she gave them both juice boxes with their morning snack and while she was in her basement putting laundry in, they both squirted all of their juice boxes all over the table and were smearing it EVERYWHERE!

Gabe was so easy and still is in comparison, he would never think to do such things with out asking first! Thank goodness Gabe was around to get me the vaccuum or towel, or whatever I needed to clean up the messes of the afternoon!

Are they kids in bed yet, I really need a BEER!
