Boy, Oh Boy, all the irate customers came out of the woodwork today I tell ya. There was one point in the day were all three of us in the office were afraid to pick up the phone. With it being month-end and year-end we have been making an awful lot of collection calls, and today was the day they all decided to call us back. I just love it when people owe you money but somehow it is our fault that they didn't get it paid on time. This one customer was so irrational that I ended up cancelling her service because she told me she refused to pay an open invoice from the week of Thanksgiving BECAUSE we did not call her the following week to alert her to missing paying it so in her mind she didn't have to pay it...another call was because a driver walked thru a customers yard to deliver milk and inadvertantly walked in dog poop (which the customer admitted was from her 4 large dogs) and drug it into her porch which she now would have to clean! There were quite a few others but not near as interesting...
My friend Erin came to visit today and she came bearing gifts for Gabe. She was cleaning out her scrapbook stash and shared a ton of paper and stickers with him...I told her I just might get the itch to do a little scrapping with all this stuff laying around...NOT making any promises, but the idea has crossed my mind! As always we had a good time just playing "catch-up" with all the going on's in our lives...really enjoy spending time with you...see if I can get Tony talked into going to the Chocolate Gala with Matt and you!
This evening around 6:00 there was a MAJOR power outage on this end of Frederick County, so we had to get out all our candles and flashlights. Gabe was OK with it all, Sophia just wanted the lights and TV back on!! When Tony got home from work we decided to head to Frederick for dinner since our only choices would be cereal or PB & J. When we got home and started putting the kids to bed the electricity came back on...THANK GOODNESS!! My mom had mentioned a few weeks ago that we needed to get hooked-up to the generator on the farm but we never got around to it, so we were the only place on the property that was without power, water and heat...just as soon as we get time we need to get ourselves hooked in!
