Another Crazy day...

Today started out as a typical Tuesday but quickly went downhill sometime around 10:00 am. When people ask us if this is the busy time of the year for us, we respond with a "YES"...but what makes it that much more busy is the mere fact that our employees feel the need to take time off. This is not scheduled time off, mind you, this is "I need to leave an hour early because I am having trouble with my daughter thinking that I don't love her..." which then led to today's leaving early because after text messaging for over an hour she supposedly took 5 times the amount of her meds and she needed to go straight to the doctors. So needless to say I did not get any of my work done because I was stuck billing all day. But this is rather normal for the girl we hired in the office...I don't think there has been a single week in the 4 months she has been with us that she hasn't either left early or called in sick for one reason or another.

Tony is working in the back this week because the one processor was in a car accident and is suffering from "whip lash" and can't do her job.

We have ads in the local newspaper for a PT store clerk, a PT processor, a FT driver, and now also a FT billing and customer service person! It seems to me that we are looking for half our workforce all at the same time...no wonder Tony has been stressed out and tired!!

This isn't funny really...but so many applicants that we interview for jobs are just down right lazy. They supposedly want a job, but first off they can't get to the interview on time, then they have not worked for the past 4 years because their spouse has made enough that they were able to stay at home and I guess sit around watching tv, and the only reason they are applying for this job is because they are bored with their life. So to us we figure how many days, weeks will it be until you are bored with this job...since according to you you don't need the money, so NO we aren't interested! So thus far are applicant search has not had very many leads!
