I have to say it is fun to be home again. The drama around this place never ceases to amaze me!
We flew home on my birthday (although we knew my birthday was on Saturday all week, and we talked about it many times) on my actual day when we were traveling only my mother-in-law remembered to say anything about it. I finally threw enough hints at Tony that when we got into Washington/Dullus airport he remembered and thus promptly apologized for totally forgetting. Apparently, though my family back at home did not forget! We were home a total of 5 minutes and my brother and sister-in-law, along with our exchange student arrived at the house with birthday gifts, and then my mom and dad had left gifts for me inside the house, and then once word got out that we were home my cell phone rang and rang with birthday wishes from both of my grandparents and my mom and dad (whom were out to dinner when we got home!). THEN...on the next day there was a picnic at my grandmothers were they made a cake for me and all the family was there, it was amazing!
I have to say I was feeling a bit sorry for myself, thinking I guess once you get this old, no one really cares anymore, but I was wrong, and it was wonderful to be back home were I know everyone was thinking of me!
