It has been a year today that I had my little baby girl, I can't believe how quickley time has past. Sophia was soo tiny when she was born, and we almost lost her because my fluid had all leaked out and she was no longer getting fed, so I had to be induced 10 days early, so Sophia is truely a miracle baby!
At one year of age she is doing so many new things, clapping her hands, giggling and laughing at her big brothers goofy antics, sneaking chocolate teddy gram cookies out of her diaper bag and eatting them for breakfast, and starting to babble about all sorts of things (although mostly it is all about Daddy!) Oh, and does she just LOVE the cell phone, anytime it rings her little face just lights up like Christmas lights in anticipation that it is her "Daddy" on the other end! Playing telephone has got to be one of her favorite things at the moment!
Sophia is quite the personality, and does not put up with Gabriel touching her toys, or holding her hand if she is not in the mood, she lets everyone know of her unhappiness with a great big squeal or shout which certainly will "turn heads!"
We celebrated Sophia's birthday last Sunday and had about 30 friends and relatives in attendance to sing "Happy Birthday" to her and she opened a few gifts. Tony and I gave her a toy box which Tony personalized for her room, it is quite sturdy and we hope it will be something she will treasure long after it is no longer used for holding toys.
Well, with Sophia down for the night, I guess this begins another year in her life, one that holds many new adventures and fun, along with the challenges of a growing toddler. Whatever this next year brings for our Sophia I am looking forward to our time together, it is precious and special and I will treasure every moment I have to spend with her!
