And life goes on......

I can't believe that we have been in our new home a week tomorrow! Where does the time go? To update everyone, the front deck is completed and our friend is now working on the back one. We got back online on Wednesday, and have gotten our propane service hooked-up today. For the most part the boxes are almost all gone, the activity room seems to be the collection area for anything that has not found a home! It is so peaceful here, we are way back off the road and our backyard will be a field of corn before long! We are certainly living in the country!

The builder has been out once already to repair some of the things that we found to be wrong with the house, and they will be back again to work somemore next week. All the linoleum in the house will be replaced as there is something on it that can't be removed and it has ruined the finish, and all my carpeting will have to be rolled back and the padding fixed, cause all over the house there are places where you walk on the carpet and can feel lumps under your feet...so we still have some HUGE jobs ahead of us!

The kids are adapting to the new house well, when the weather has been nice in the afternoons we all go down to the creamery to see what is going on and we work together as a family...last night we were all out working until almost 8:00, and it was really nice to just walk home when the kids got too tired and put them to bed.

Wednesday night Sophia and I went out along with the other women in my extended family to a Mother/Daughter night out, that was pretty fun, and the dinner out was a nice incentive!

Tony and 4 other guys from the farm/creamery have been gone since 5:00 am this morning...they were going to another creamery in southern VA to buy glass bottles, I was expecting them home by 4:00 this afternoon but they have had a really BAD day. One of the tires on the flatbed blew out on the way down this morning and they had to find someone to repair it and then they got the 6500+ bottles all loaded to come home and about an hour into their return trip home, another tire blew! I just got off the phone with Tony around 8:00 pm and they were back on the road again but it will most likely be midnight before they pull into the farm...what a nightmare!

I was able to get one of our drivers to cover the Baltimore market for Tony tomorrow, so at least I won't worry about him falling asleep behind the wheel in the morning!

I have goten pretty handy around the house...since Tony hasn't had alot of extra time, so I have changed out 3 toilet seats today, installed numerous towel bars, and hung a new papertowel holder in the kitchen. There is still some plumbing work that needs to be done...but I am NOT that brave!

The kids are all asleep, the house is quiet, I think I just may go try out my new garden tub! Good night!
